Performing for the youngest audiences is a new thing for me, but it's such a blast! Christmas time is always great and I'm happy to play carols and recognizable classics for children to dance and sing along with. For other times of the year, I'm working on a rotating set list of songs and tunes featuring some classic kids songs, American folk songs, teachable sing-alongs, and educational demonstrations of Irish instruments, song and story.

A sample set list might include:

  • Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz)
  • Froggy Went A-Courtin' (old-time American)
  • The Rainbow Connection (The Muppets)
  • The Unicorn (Shel Silverstein, The Irish Rovers)
  • House at Pooh Corner (Loggins & Messina)
  • Wild Rover (Irish, with some kid-friendly substitutes!)
  • You Are My Sunshine (old-time American)
  • Irish jigs on the bouzouki
  • Too Ra Loo Ra (Irish classic)
  • Oh, Susanna (Stephen Foster)
  • Skye Boat Song (Scottish)
  • Here Comes the Sun (Beatles)
  • Keep On the Sunny Side (old-time, Carter Family)
  • Wild Mountain Thyme (Irish sing-along)
