Can’t seem to keep myself away from fine guitars! I got to do a batch of demos for The Music Emporium last month, including a couple excellent Atkin guitars from the UK, a Collings, my first Charles Fox, and an Olson to be released.

If you’re after a more traditional Martin or Gibson style guitar and have a not-quite-Collings level budget, I cannot recommend those Atkin guitars highly enough. Being from the UK you’re not going to find them everywhere, but TME is now a dealer and they are on the used market, too. I’ve really enjoyed every single one I’ve played.

If nothing but a Collings will do, can’t beat an OM2H with a little extra je ne sais quoi by way of that old-growth top!

Lindsay Straw is a singer, guitarist, and Irish bouzouki player with a passion for the traditional music of the British Isles. Originally from Montana, she began to explore Boston’s Irish and folk music scenes while studying film scoring at Berklee College of Music. With an extensive repertoire, sensitive voice and agile accompaniment style, Lindsay has performed both solo and in ensembles throughout New England and beyond.
